About my reviews
All my reviews are my own opinion, no company is paying me to say good things about their product. All the products I review are ones that I own and have had plenty of time to test and try them out. I am as honest as possible when reviewing, and will always try to look for negative aspects of a product as well as good ones. I rate on a 5 star system where 5 is the best and 1 is the worst. Wellgo LU 987B Flat Pedals (DMR V12 Copy) Best Price - £22

Wellgo is a worldwide known brand that makes pedals for the top company's at a fraction of the price. These pedals are amazing. They perform as well as the DMR V12 version that is more expensive. They have a large surface area with 10 replaceable, incredibly grippy pins on each side (shin pads advised). The sealed bearings run really sooth, despite the abuse they have taken from all the XC riding and Dirt Jumping I have done. What's more is that they come in a variety of different colours, not as many as the actual DMR V12's however. The only problem with this is that the paint can wear away after prolonged use, but hey this is a small price to pay. If you buy them in silver, they are not painted and so will stay looking new for longer. Finally they offer the standard 9/16" axle thread and can be mounted to your bike using a 15mm pedal spanner or 6mm Allen key. They also have reflector mounts which the DMR V12's don't
Bottom Line:
Overall a great pedal at a great price - Why pay more for less
My Star Rating - 4.5 out of 5

Park Tool Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair - Best Price £20
I love this book. It has clear pictures and instructions throughout. It covers both road and mountain bikes, which is especially handy if you have both types. If you are getting into bicycle maintenance or want to learn even more I highly recommend you grab yourself one. The only disadvantage with this book is that it only recommends Park Tool Bike Tools. Most of the time however Park Tools will be better but do consider the other brands out there.
Bottom Line:
Topeak D2 Tire Pressure Gauge - Best Price £20
It's really important to set you bike tyres to the correct air pressure when going on a ride for optimum performance. Some air pumps with the built in gauge can be unreliable so I recommend buying a pressure gauge like this one. The Topeak D2 has a rotating head that can take readings in BAR, PSI or KG/cm2 from both Schrader and Presta valves. It can also let air out to achieve the optimum pressure.
When in use it does accurately display the pressure. I have found however that the air release feature is a little temperamental. Also now and then the unit switches itself off when in use. I had to send one back before receiving my current one so maybe it is also faulty. Having said this it is a very good product, leaps and bounds above the average pressure gauge.
Bottom Line:
Good little pressure gauge but no reason why this can't be substituted for a cheaper one.
I wonder what my bikes would look like without the existence of Muc off? Muddy I guess. I say a muddy Mountain bike is a happy Mountain bike. However, there comes a time when you need to give your bike that TLC it deserves. That's when Muc Off comes in. The pink bike cleaner is amazing at cutting through all the dirt and grime on your bike. Combine this with the brushes, and dirt doesn't stand a chance. The brushes are designed with ergonomics in mind and feel nice in the hand. Once the bike has been cleaned, the Bike spray leaves it shining. It also repels dirt, leaving your bike cleaner for longer (just be careful not to get any on your brakes).
Bottom Line:
In my opinion there's not a better bike care product out there.
